Remembering Carl Kaufmann

Longtime manufacturers' rep Carl Kaufmann passed away on March 17. He was 77 years old.

Kaufmann got his start in the foodservice industry in New York City's Bowery working for his uncle's equipment and supply firm. From there he opened Kaufmann and Goldberger Associates. In 1981 he established a Pittsburgh rep firm named Carl Kaufmann and Associates. Kaufmann sold the business 25 years later and moved to Colorado where he continued to work as a rep.

Contributions can be made in Kaufmann's honor to the National Jewish Health division of cardiology, P.O. Box 17169 Denver Colorado 80217 and to The Muscular Dystrophy Association of Denver, 7205 S. Colorado Blvd, Denver Colorado 80246.
