U-Swirl Scoops Up 46 Locations

Soft-serve yogurt chain adds Aspen Yogurt Leaf and Yogurtini chains to its portfolio.

U-Swirl, Inc. (OTCQB: SWRL), has acquired the Aspen Leaf Yogurt and Yogurtini chains from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. The deal adds 46 stores, including 40 franchised units, to its network. U-Swirl now has more than 75 locations operating in 23 states.

The acquisition includes all intellectual property and worldwide franchise rights for the Aspen Leaf Yogurt and Yogurtini concepts. In return, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory receives a 60 percent stake in U-Swirl.
