Smith Becomes Pie Five's VP of Operations

Restaurant industry veteran's background includes working with Chipotle, Smashburger and others.

Pizza Inn Holdings, Inc. named Chris Smith vice president of operations for its Pie Five concept. In his new role Smith will lead the performance and expansion of Pie Five, an emerging fast-casual concept offering individual pizzas made to order and cooked in less than five minutes.

Most recently, Smith served as regional director of the Southern U.S. for Smashburger. Prior to that he held senior management positions for the Mission Burrito chain and Star Concessions. Smith started his restaurant career with Chipotle Mexican Grill as director of operations.
