Dunkin' Donuts Updates Management Team

Scherer takes over as VP of South Central region.

Dunkin' Donuts named Susan Scherer its regional vice president of the South Central region and promoted a pair of employees. Weldon Spangler is the new vice president, Dunkin' Donuts Operations U.S. and Canada and Jesse Schlueter is vice president, global learning.

In her new role, Scherer provides support to Dunkin' Brands' franchisees and field teams throughout the South Central United States. A 25-year veteran of the foodservice industry, Scherer's experience includes serving as president/co-owner of Gasket Guy and Gal, Inc., an installer of commercial replacement gaskets in restaurants and grocery/convenience stores, and as division vice president, Papa John's International.

Spangler will lead Dunkin' Donuts' field operations team. Schlueter will help the restaurant chain's Global Learning Team develop ways to deliver learning programs for company franchisees, restaurant managers and field employees.
