CHART Names New Executive Board

Hospitality-oriented training association taps White Castle's Kelley to serve as its president.

The Council of Hotel and Restaurant Trainers announced the election of the association's new executive board of directors. Serving as CHART president is John Kelley, chief people officer and vice president of training and human resources at White Castle System in Columbus, Ohio.

In addition, serving as CHART's president-elect is Calvin Banks, senior training manager at Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center.

Other CHART Executive Board members for the 2012-2013 year include:

• Board Member Education – San Diego Conference: Patrick Yearout, director of training for Ivar's Restaurants
• Board Member - Education, Miami Conference: Jason Lyon, CEO of The Common Man Family of Restaurants
• Board Member: Jen Johnston, learning facilitator at Darden Restaurants
• Board Member: Michele Lange, director of training for Landmark Restaurant Group, a franchisee of IHOP Restaurants
