Togo’s Plans for Leadership Transition

Tony Gioia, chairman and CEO of Togo’s Holdings LLC, plans to retire, effective May 31. Togo’s will promote Glenn Lunde to CEO from chief concept officer, effective June 1.

Goia spent 10 years with the sandwich chain and will remain on Togo’s board as a non-executive chairman. Prior to joining Togo’s, he served as CEO for several public and privately held restaurant companies. He was also president at Baskin Robbins, served on the executive committee for Dunkin’ Donuts, and was COO at Wolfgang Puck Food Company. Gioia has also been an executive partner with several private equity firms and recently spearheaded the sale of Togo’s from previous ownership to Nimes Capital LLC, per a release announcing his retirement.

Lunde joined Togo’s earlier this year.
