Foodservice Equipment and Supplies Sales Increase 3.1 Percent in the Second Quarter FE&S FlashNews

Sales of foodservice equipment and supplies increased 3.3 percent in the second quarter of 2014, according to the latest data from the Manufacturers’ Agents Association for the Foodservice Industry (MAFSI). This represents a .2 percent decline from the first quarter, according to the MAFSI Business Barometer. Despite this slight decline, MAFSI reps forecast a 5.7 percent gain for the third quarter of 2014. Reps report increases in quoting, up 56 percent and consulting, up 47 percent.
