Chain Operating Report for Nov. 8

Expansion news for Corner Bakery, Jamba Juice and Krispy Kreme, among others.

Dallas-based Corner Bakery Cafe reached an area development agreement with franchisee Buon Hospitality that paves the way for the brand's first entry into Northern California. Buon Hospitality will open a total of 32 Corner Bakery Cafe locations in the Greater Bay Area in seven years. The first two locations will open by mid-2012, and the total footprint will extend as far south as San Jose and as far north as Napa Valley.

Tom Pennison was named chief financial officer of Del Frisco's Restaurant Group, the parent company of the Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse, Del Frisco's Grille and Sullivan's Steak House restaurants.

Jamba Juice (NASDAQ:JMBA) and Max's Group of Companies will open their first Jamba Juice location in the Philippines on Nov. 11.

Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation reached a new development agreement with its franchisee in the Philippines, The Real American Doughnut Company, Inc., under which the franchisee has agreed to open an additional 23 locations in the country during the next five years. The Real American Doughnut Company currently operates 26 doughnut shops across the country.
