In an effort to develop new products and programs to better meet the needs of foodservice design consultants, The Vollrath Company has retained J. Frishman and Associates, a Pompano Beach, Fla.-based manufacturers’ sales and consulting firm.
W.A. Brown & Son, a Salisbury, N.C., manufacturer of walk-in coolers and freezers, named Chernoff Sales, Inc. of Pompano Beach, Fla., its manufacturer’s representative for the state of Florida. Chernoff Sales has five other locations in Florida, including Hobe Sound, Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa and Titusville.
Michael McGreevy was named food and beverage director of the Chateau on the Lake Resort, Spa & Convention Center in Branson, Mo.
Manitowoc Foodservice’s Walk-in and Refrigeration Division opened a manufacturing facility in Goodyear, Ariz.
Chris Chan was named dean of the Cornell-Nanyang Institute of Hospitality Management.
The National Restaurant Association added two staff members to its public policy team: Angelo Amador, vice president of labor and workforce policy, and Joy Dubost, Ph.D. R.D., director of nutrition and healthy living. The NRA also announced the promotion of James Balda to chief marketing and communications officer.
