Marks the first U.S.-based president for the French-style fast food brand.
Restaurant industry veteran Julie Hauser-Blanner was named the president of Brioche Doree in the U.S. She will lead the U.S. launch of the brand.
Hauser-Blanner’s experience includes more than 20 years in operations, most recently overseeing foodservice for Bass Pro Shops. Prior to that she served as vice president of global operations for Outback Steakhouse and regional vice president for Bonefish Grill, both part of Bloomin’ Brands.
The Brioche Doree brand falls under the Le Duff America umbrella, which operates as a subsidiary of Groupe Le Duff. Additional Le Duff America brands include la Madeline French Bakery & Cafe, Mimi’s Cafe and Bruegger’s Bagels.
Brioche Doree currently operates “a handful” of franchised, small-format sites in U.S. airports. The chain now plans to open to six full-size corporate Brioche Doree sites in two urban markets, according to a company release, then further expand through franchising.
