Buffalo Wild Wings to Test Smaller Format Locations

Buffalo Wild Wings Inc. will pilot two small-format locations in the Minneapolis metro market this summer. Known as B-Dubs Express, the stores will measure 2,500 square feet. Buffalo Wild WingsB-Dubs Express, a new small-format version of Buffalo Wild Wings concept. Photo courtesy of Businesswire

Each location will feature counter service and seating for 35 to 50 guests. Customers will have the option of dining in or taking their orders to go. True to the concept’s roots, the locations will feature televisions showing sports and adult beverages will be available, including draft and bottled beers, and wine. Delivery will also be available through a partnership with DoorDash.

In addition to wings — traditional and boneless — B-Dubs Express’ menu will feature chicken tenders, a chicken sandwich, burger, salad, buffalo mac and cheese, along with select sharables and sides.

“These first two locations in Minnesota will provide a great opportunity for us to test an alternative format and gain learnings as we continue to look for ways to meet the changing needs of today’s consumers,” said Todd Kronebusch, vice president of market development for Buffalo Wild Wings.

The pilot, company-owned locations, scheduled to open in late summer 2017, will be located in Edina and Hopkins, Minn. Buffalo Wild Wings is looking for future sites for B-Dubs Express in multiple markets across the country.
