Ruby Tuesday Inc. has named James “Jim” F. Hyatt II as president and CEO and a member of the board of directors, effective immediately. The industry veteran brings more than 40 years of leadership experience in the restaurant industry, most recently as CEO of Church’s Chicken and prior to that Cosí and Burger King.

Hyatt will continue to explore strategic alternatives for the 600-plus casual dining chain, according to a release from the company regarding the announcement.
Lane Cardwell, interim president and CEO, will remain a member of the board of directors.
