MAFSI Presents Biennial Awards

The Manufacturers’ Agents Association for the Foodservice Industry (MAFSI) honored the accomplishments of 12 foodservice professionals with its biennial awards.

MAFSI’s biennial award program recognizes those individuals who have performed in an exemplary fashion, and serve as recognition to ensure the future success and professionalism of the association and the industry.

Elliot Horowitz, Elliot Horowitz Associates, MAFSI Region 03 – New York Metro, received the Lifetime Membership Award, presented to someone who has been a member of the organization for at least 10 years and has contributed to the foodservice industry through significant association involvement.

Tedde and Jim Reid, Supply & Equipment Foodservice Alliance (SEFA), LLC received MAFSI’s Honorary Member Award, which recognizes non-members who have substantially contributed to the organization over an extended period of time.

Chris Jeens, W.D. Colledge Co., Ltd., MAFSI Region 26 – Canada and Melissa Greenwald, Zink Foodservice, MAFSI Region 07 – Mid-America, received the Special Recognition Awards, which honors agent members for their leadership and contributions to the success of their local chapters.

The Bill Loveless Chapter of the Year Award was presented to MAFSI Region 03 – New York Metro.

Greg Elliott, National Sales Manager, Chill-Rite Manufacturing and Ali Group North America were the recipients of the Market Mover Award, which recognizes individuals and organizations who demonstrate significant qualities that lead to the advancement of the rep function and the foodservice industry.

MAFSI’s Pacesetter award recognizes individuals who work for agent member companies and demonstrate the “highest degree of devotion and distinguished service in conjunction with MAFSI projects and activities.” The trio of MAFSI members receiving the Pacesetter award is Larry Cantamessa, Posternak Bauer Aitkenhead Cantamessa, MAFSI Region 03 – New York Metro; Joe Ferri, Pecinka Ferri Associates, MAFSI Region 03 – New York Metro and Carl Kisner, Ignite Foodservice Solutions, MAFSI Region 20 – Mountain States North.

Danny Collis, Collis Group Inc., received the Tony Award, which recognizes a member who has consistently performed and demonstrated sincere interest, effort, and leadership and has given time to the welfare and progress of MAFSI and the enhancement of the manufacturer agents' function and position in the industry.
