A team of five students enrolled in the Kendall College School of Culinary Arts’ associate and baccalaureate programs beat three other teams to win the 2015 National Baron H. Galand Culinary Knowledge Bowl at the American Culinary Federation’s National Convention.
This represents the third time in the past six years a Kendall College team has won this competition. The annual Baron H. Galand Culinary Knowledge Bowl tests the acumen of culinary arts students via a “Jeopardy”-style subject grid that includes culinary, baking, nutrition, safety, sanitation and math questions as well as sensory perception. Earlier this year in Indianapolis, the Kendall team won the annual regional competition to qualify for the national final.
