US Foods veteran to monitor corporate purchasing programs.

Metz Culinary Management has hired Melissa Swida as director of purchasing. In this role, Swida will manage promotions, maintain pricing contacts, negotiate and monitor corporate purchasing programs, cultivate supplier relationships, explore new products in the marketplace, develop product specifications and evaluate vendor performances.

Swida spent the past 12 years with US Foods, where she held a number of positions, including customer service representative, customer service manager and national account executive.
