John A. Bridgins of J.H. Bridgins & Associates, Inc., an Alexandria, Va.-based independent manufacturers' rep firm passed away on Jan. 19, 2014. He was 62 years old.

Bridgins served as president and CEO of his rep firm. He was also active in the Manufacturers Agents' Association for the Foodservice Industry, serving as Region 5 Mid-Atlantic Chapter president. He also served on MAFSI's national board of directors.

Upon graduating from Temple University, Bridgins entered the foodservice industry and spent his entire career with the company founded by his father, Jim Bridgins. John A. Bridgins opened the company's office that serves the Maryland and Washington, D.C. market.
