Seattle's Best Opens First Drive-Thru Location

Northlake, Ill.-based unit will serve as a test location to drive future innovations for the coffee chain.
As part of the chain's initiative to expand into non-traditional venues, Seattle's Best Coffee opened a new coffee drive-thru concept in Northlake, Ill.
Seattle's Best will use its coffee drive-thru concept as a learning lab for the brand as it evolves its retail presence to meet the growing demand for coffee on the go, according to a company release. Real-time results from this store will inform menu strategies for the current base of nearly 100 cafes as well as future locations.
This location features coffee beverages new to Seattle's Best like Caramel Candy and Birthday Cake lattes, Caramel Pretzel and S'mores mochas, in addition to flavored creamers. A car-friendly food menu includes fresh-baked muffins, cookies and multigrain bars. Seattle's Best will offer breakfast sandwiches available on either a biscuit or a muffin, as well as warm pretzel bread stuffed with a choice of turkey or ham to round out hearty lunch options. Snack items include sour cream coffee cake, individual caramel apple pies and a cheese pretzel Danish.
