Through its Energy Star program, the United States Environmental Protection Agency recognized several foodservice equipment manufacturers for their sustainability efforts by presenting them with Energy Star-related awards.
ITW Food Equipment Group–North America (ITW FEG) received a 2012 Energy Star Sustained Excellence award for honored for its continued efforts in helping to make foodservice and grocery operations more energy efficient.
Manitowoc Foodservice was awarded a 2012 Energy Star Sustained Excellence Award for its long-term commitment to energy efficiency, according to the Department of Energy. Manitowoc participates in such Energy Star categories as dishwashers, fryers, ice machines, refrigerators, freezers, steam cookers, griddles and ovens.
Hoshizaki America, Inc. received a 2012 Energy Star Award for Excellence in Energy Star Promotion winner for its work in promoting products and programs that meet Energy Star guidelines for energy efficiency.
Scotsman Ice Systems was named a 2012 Energy Star Partner of the Year – Product Manufacturer for its contributions to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by manufacturing energy-efficient products and helping to educate consumers about those products.
