Magazine to celebrate the best of the best on the evening of May 5 at Chicago's Ritz-Carlton.
On May 5 FE&S will hold its annual Dealer of the Year and Industry Awards gala at the Ritz-Carlton Chicago. On this night FE&S will celebrate the success of the foodservice industry by presenting some of its most time-honored awards to those professionals that continue to set the standard for professionalism, integrity and work ethic.
San Antonio-based Mission Restaurant Supply will receive FE&S' Dealer of the Year Award. "Under the leadership of President Andrew Wueste and CEO Jack Lewis, Mission has quietly become one of the foodservice industry's elite players," said Maureen Slocum, FE&S' publisher. "Mission's team-oriented culture places an emphasis on winning the customer's loyalty through hard work, honesty and integrity. We are proud to recognize them with the highest honor in foodservice equipment and supplies distribution."
In addition, David J. Stafford Sr. of Stafford-Smith will receive FE&S' 2012 Hall of Fame Award. As CEO of Kalamazoo, Mich.-based Stafford-Smith, Stafford has earned industry-wide respect for his fair and honest dealings with customers, peers and supply chain partners. "As the second generation of his family to work in the dealership, David has helped develop a company that is known for handling big and complex jobs effectively and efficiently. David remains a pillar of the foodservice equipment and supplies industry thanks to his ethical approach," Slocum said. "Like the nine foodservice professionals who have received this award previously, David's integrity has raised the bar for the entire industry."
FE&S will also present the following individuals with its Top Achiever awards for 2012:
• Top Achiever – Dealer: Mark Rossi, president, Avanti Restaurant Solutions, Sacramento, Calif.
• Top Achiever – Consultant: Karen Malody, principal, Culinary Options, Seattle, Wash.
