National Restaurant Association Show Extends Chicago Stay Through 2021

FE&S Dealer of the Year and Industry Awards Gala will remain on the Saturday of the NRA Show through 2021, too.

The National Restaurant Association reached an agreement to keep the association's trade show in Chicago through 2021. In response to this news, Foodservice Equipment & Supplies magazine announced that it will continue to host its annual Dealer of the Year and Industry Awards Gala on the Saturday evening of the NRA show through 2021.

Foodservice Equipment & Supplies will host the 2013 Dealer of the Year and Industry Awards Gala on May 18 at Chicago's Four Seasons Hotel. The event continues to feature three platinum sponsors: Manitowoc Foodservice Group, True and Unified Brands.

"FE&S' Dealer of the Year and Industry Awards Gala is the preeminent celebration and networking event for the foodservice equipment and supplies industry. And for that reason, it makes perfect sense to keep the event in sync with the NRA Show — one of the biggest and most prestigious events in the restaurant industry," said Maureen Slocum, publisher of FE&S.

The NRA previously had an agreement to host its tradeshow in Chicago through 2016, so this development represents a five-year extension.

"Our show's 60,000-plus attendees and exhibitors from all 50 states and more than 100 countries deserve and expect great taste — and Chicago delivers," said Dawn Sweeney, National Restaurant Association President and CEO. "The restaurant industry is a large, dynamic, creative and generous collection of businesses that serve every community in this nation. Therefore, it's important to us that we hold our industry's premier trade show in a location that embodies so many of our industry's unique qualities and values."
