This Week in Foodservice: The CIT Group Inc. Is Largely Positive on U.S. Restaurant Industry 
Financial giant CIT turned its spotlight on restaurants and forecast steady improvement despite the slow recovery. The head of CIT’s Restaurant Industry Practice says that lenders that had stepped away from restaurants during the downturn are returning to finance acquisitions, expansion or re-models but noted that smaller companies and franchisees of smaller chains continue to have difficulty getting financing.
Corner Bakery Names New President
Gary Price is the new president of Corner Bakery Café. Price joins Corner Bakery Cafe after serving as head of foodservice operations at Pilot Flying J, a national chain of travel centers.

National Restaurant Association Show Extends Chicago Stay Through 2021
The National Restaurant Association reached an agreement to keep the association’s trade show in Chicago through 2021. In response to this news, Foodservice Equipment & Supplies magazine announced that it will continue to host its annual Dealer of the Year and Industry Awards Gala on the Saturday evening of the NRA show through 2021.
