Chain expansion news from Colorado to Tokyo. 

The Egg & I Restaurants opened a location in Omaha, Neb., its 50th unit system wide. Headquartered in Ft. Collins, Colo., The Egg & I serves breakfast and lunch dayparts and operates in 10 Midwestern, western and southern states.

Wendy's opened a restaurant in Tokyo, Japan. The opening of this location represents the start of a program under which Wendy's expects to open 100 restaurants in Japan in the next five years. Wendy's Japan LLC was established as a joint venture between Wendy's and Higa Industries Co., Ltd. Ernest Higa, founder of Higa Industries and chief executive officer of Wendy's Japan, LLC, previously owned and operated 180 Domino's Pizza stores in Japan.
