Ace Mart Presents First Annual Gus Award

Longtime employee Jerry Higgins recognized by the San Antonio-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealership.
Ace Mart Restaurant Supply presented its first annual Gus Award to Jerry Higgins, information technology director for the San Antonio-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealership. The award is named after Norman "Gus" Gustafson, Ace Mart's founder and recipient of FE&S' Hall of Fame Award.
Higgins earned this recognition for his honesty, excellence in customer service both internally and externally and the way he earns trust from his peers.
Ace Mart will present the Gus Award to an associate that best demonstrates the many qualities and attributes that earned Gustafson respect throughout the foodservice equipment and supplies industry.
The Gus Award Recipient will reflect several of the attributes that would best honor Gus' memory:
- Honest and straightforward in both business and personal relationships, an individual who above all can be trusted to keep his/her word.
- Generous with his/her time and resources and always ready to offer a word of encouragement.
