Chain Operating Report for Dec. 14

This week's chain operating report features one concept updating its beverage service, a couple expanded at home and abroad and a new way to test menu items, service style and more.

Burger King announced plans to install Coke Freestyle at all of its company owned restaurants.

Franchisee Gold Star Burgers S.A. opened three Carl's Jr. Restaurants in Costa Rica earlier this month. These mark the first Carl's Jr. locations in Costa.

Dickey's Barbeque Pit opened a location in San Antonio. The chain now operates 195 locations in 35 states.

Pie Five Pizza Co. opened a location in Ft. Worth, Texas. Pie Five has opened four locations across Dallas-Fort Worth in six months.

P.F. Chang's China Bistro (NASDAQ:PFCB) re-opened its location at the Irvine Spectrum Center, having rebuilt the restaurant from the ground up. The new store will remain unique in the P.F. Chang's portfolio and will serve as a space for the culinary and beverage teams to test and share their latest offerings. Popular dishes, cocktails, décor and technology elements will be evaluated for possible national rollout to the company's 204 locations.
