Quick-casual bagel chain adds five-unit concept based in Oregon

Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: BAGL) acquired Kettleman Bagel Company, a five-store bagel chain in Portland, Ore. The move supports the company's strategy of looking to expand in the Pacific Northwest.

Einstein Noah operates three different quick-casual bagel concepts – Einstein Bros. Bagels, Noah's New York Bagels, and Manhattan Bagel – as part of a restaurant system that totals 750 locations in 39 states and the District of Columbia. The company plans to rebrand all five Kettleman locations into one of Einstein Noah's existing concepts in the future.
