The Passing of Eugene "Gene" Vader

Eugene "Gene" Vader, long-time MAFSI member and past president, passed away on Nov. 11, 2011 at the age of 81.

Vader began his career in foodservice equipment sales in 1957 at Koch Refrigeration of Kansas City, moving from inside sales to factory rep for their Chicago-based sales territory. He joined Okinow Sales in Minneapolis in 1967, which later became Vader and Landgraf, a manufacturers' rep agency, where he remained president until his retirement in 2004.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. on Fri., Nov. 18 at The Church of St. Olaf, 215 South 8th Street, Minneapolis. Interment following at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
