FEDA Adds Industry Think Tank to 2012 Convention

New 90-minute session allows foodservice equipment and supplies dealers and manufacturers to share perspectives, best practices and more.

In an attempt to enhance its opportunities for networking and to facilitate a greater exchange of ideas the Foodservice Equipment Distributors Association (FEDA) will introduce a new feature to its 2012 Annual Convention, which takes place March 28–April 1 in Tucson, Ariz. Employing a roundtable format, the All-Industry Think Tank session will allow participants to spend 90 minutes sharing their insights on the economic environment, best business practices, channel relationships and more.

Ace Mart Restaurant Supply's Carl Gustafson will moderate the session that will try to answer such questions as: What lessons have you learned in the last three years and how are you applying those lessons to your organization today? and How do you communicate your value to your customers?

Other featured presentations will include:

  • "FL!P" Creating Strategies for Turning Challenges into Opportunity and Change into a Competitive Advantage, presented by Peter Sheahan, founder and CEO of ChangeLabs
  • The Energy Bus: Drive Your Business with Optimism, Passion, and Purpose, presented by best-selling author Jon Gordon
  • Making the Market Available Profit: What They Don't Teach You in Business School, presented by Michael Marks, co-founder of Indian River Consulting Group

The 2012 FEDA Convention will also feature a number of dealer-only roundtable discussions and various other educational and networking opportunities. Mason Greene of Hotel and Restaurant Supply serves as the 2012 convention chairperson. Joe Schmitt of Rapids Wholesale serves as the assistant chairperson.
