Myers Restaurant Supply Transitions Ownership

Charlie Fusari buys stake in California-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealership.

Myers Restaurant Supply, a Santa Rosa, Calif.-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealership has gone through a transition of ownership. Charlie Fusari, formerly of TriMark Economy, formed a limited liability corporation with partner Rob Myers that has purchased Myers Restaurant Supply. The agreement included the purchase of the company's assets and assumption of all of its liabilities, according to Fusari.

Jon Myers, previously a partner in Myers Restaurant Supply, will remain with the dealership.

"It is the perfect time to start up a new business. Certainly, we have continued challenging times ahead but we will not stay in this period forever," Fusari said. "During times like this you find opportunities for the future. Certainly, it is anyone's guess how much longer we will be here, but eventually we will come out of this."

Fusari is no stranger to the foodservice equipment and supplies industry, having spent the previous 11 years working for TriMark Economy, a San Francisco-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealership. Prior to joining TriMark Economy, Fusari worked as a manufacturers' rep for two years and spent 12 years with Duraware before it was acquired by Carlisle.

"I learned at TriMark Economy that with a good team in place you can navigate your way through the landmines of a difficult economy," Fusari added. "When we look back at this time ten years from now that's when you will find new companies will have been born and they will be the ones shaping the new economy."

Myers has a staff of 25 people, including six salespeople, and is a full-line dealership, which includes street sales, contract and design sales and chain sales.
