Kool Star to Relocate Factory and Expand Lines

Foodservice equipment manufacturer will keep its California HQ
Walk-in refrigeration manufacturer Kool Star, a division of the Standex Refrigeration Solutions Group, announced plans to relocate its panel manufacturing plant to New Albany, Miss., from Nogales, Mexico. In addition, Kool Star announced plans to expand its self-contained and rack refrigeration system lines.
The new facility will have metal fabrication resources and automated production presses. Having centrally located manufacturing and distribution will help Kool Star reduce shipping lead times while servicing the entire North American marketplace, according to a company release. This move will also allow Kool Star to expand its walk in panel offering, adding soft nose panels to complement their quality custom high-density foam rail panels offered in the past.
Kool Star will maintain its headquarters in Long Beach, Calif., which will handle all sales and support activity.
