Jamba Juice, Johnny Rockets, Saladworks, Smallcakes and Quiznos announce new store openings and other expansion news.
Jamba Juice (NASDAQ: JMBA) franchisee SPC Group opened its fifth Jamba Juice location in South Korea. The store opened in Seocho, a residential and commercial district in Seoul.
Johnny Rockets opened a new location in New York City's South Street Seaport.
Beautiful Brands International reached an agreement with multi-unit developers Brad and Francy Bauer to open 25 new Smallcakes - A Cupcakery stores in North Carolina and South Carolina. Founded in Kansas City in 2008, Smallcakes' "cupcakery" restaurant bakes 15 kinds of gourmet cupcakes each day, each freshly topped with swirls of icing. There are 10 Smallcakes and Smallcakes co-branded with FreshBerry Yogurt stores open. In addition, there are dozens of additional tri-branded, Smallcakes, FreshBerry, and Rex's Chicken, stores opening in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Colorado, Arkansas and North Carolina.
Quick service sandwich chain Quiznos has signed a master franchise agreement with Brazil Best Food, Inc. that will introduce the quick serve sandwich chain to the Brazilian market. The initial plans are to open seven Quiznos locations in Brazil by the end of the year and 200 over the life of the deal.
