Thomas Murray Funka, Sr., the retired owner of The Zeroll Company, passed away on May 7. He was 76 years old.
Funka purchased The Zeroll Company, a manufacturer of commercial ice cream scoops in 1968 and relocated the company to Florida in 1990. In 2008 Funka sold The Zeroll Company to The Legacy Companies.
He is survived by his wife, Maria; son, Tom, Jr; daughter, Laurie Van Steen; brother, Clifford A. Funka, Jr.; and three grandchildren.
