Lane Cardwell to become President of P.F. Chang's

Restaurant industry veteran Lane Cardwell will become the president of P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Inc. (NASDAQ: PFCB), effective March 1, 2011. Cardwell, who most recently served in a similar capacity for Boston Market, currently serves on P.F. Chang's Board of Directors and had previously served as a board member from 1999 to 2009.
In his new role, Cardwell will primarily focus on P.F. Chang's long-term business strategy, said Rick Federico, the company's chairman and CEO. Rick Tasman, chief operating officer, will continue to focus on the execution of the restaurant chain's day-to-day operations. "This new organizational structure leverages their respective strengths and will help us continue to move our brand forward," Frederico added.
Cardwell has more than 30 years of experience in the restaurant industry, serving in leadership positions with Eatzi's Market and Bakery, Brinker International and Famous Dave's of America.
