Restaurant Chain Report for the Week of Oct. 6

BJ's, CPK, Greene Turtle, Landry's, Red Robin and Saladworks all announced expansion and operating results this week.

BJ's Restaurants, Inc. (Nasdaq:BJRI) opened a BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse in Puente Hills, Calif.

California Pizza Kitchen, Inc. (NASDAQ: CPKI), launched the CPK Mobile Kitchen. The restaurant chain plans to use its 35-foot kitchen-on-wheels to cater corporate and private events.

The Greene Turtle Franchising Corp. finalized an agreement to bring five of its sports bar and grille locations to Fairfax County, Va.

The shareholders of Landry's Restaurants, Inc. (NYSE:LNY) voted to approve the merger agreement with a company wholly-owned by Tilman J. Fertitta, Chairman, chief executive officer and president of Landry's.

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Inc. announced plans to open a location in Falls Church, Va., later this month.

Saladworks signed a franchise development agreement that will open the concept's first location in the Richmond, Va., market early next year.
