Cooper-Atkins Continues Organizational Restructuring
As part of an organizational restructuring initiative, Cooper-Atkins Corporation has created four field-based vice president positions that report to Mike Carpenter, the company’s chief marketing officer. Filling these four positions are: Bill Eggers, eastern U.S., Jon Esping, international; Glenn Marcus, central U.S.; and Phillip Wertheimer, western U.S.
In addition to foodservice, the four field-based vice presidents are responsible for the sales of Cooper-Atkins products in the healthcare and industrial markets.
One of Cooper-Atkins’ first steps related to its restructuring effort was the hiring of Carpenter in April of 2009. A 30-year foodservice industry veteran, Carpenter has manufacturing experience in tabletop, heavy equipment and smallwares and is a past president of NAFEM.
In this new position Mike will be responsible for strategic planning, new product development, all aspects of sales, marketing and corporate communications related to Foodservice, Healthcare, Industrial-HVAC/R and International sales. As an officer of the Cooper-Atkins Corporation, Carpenter reports directly to Carol Wallace, the company’s president and CEO.
