Bensinger is survived by her husband of 44 years, Rick and her children Aaron Bensinger and Norah Shambaugh.

She was an active member of the Manufacturers’ Agents Association for the Foodservice Industry for many years, serving on its board of directors and as a conference chair. In 2008, the association presented Bensinger with its Pacesetter Award for demonstrating the highest degree of devotion and distinguished service in conjunction with MAFSI projects and activities.
