Singer Hires Greenwald to Serve as VP

Former AutoQuotes executive returns to his dealer roots by joining the Elverson, Pa.-based foodservice equipment and supplies distributor.

Singer Equipment Co. hired foodservice industry veteran Michael Greenwald to serve as vice president.

In his new role, Greenwald becomes responsible for several IT initiatives as well as supporting parts of the Pennsylvania-based dealer’s contract procurement operations. He will report to Fred Singer, the dealer’s president and CEO.

Greenwald spent close to 10 years as president of AutoQuotes. His background also includes working for 15 years at M Tucker, now a division of Singer, as the head of the equipment and contract division of the company.

This news comes a few months after Singer acquired Ashland Equipment, an East Coast foodservice equipment and supplies dealer. With annual revenues of $293.92 million in 2016, Singer Equipment Co. is the 6th largest dealer in the country, per FE&S’ 2017 Distribution Giants Study.
