Former Genghis Grill executive assumes leadership position with the Arizona-based sushi bar chain.

Kona Grill introduced Jim Kuhn as chief operating officer for the American grill and sushi bar chain headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz.

A 25-plus year veteran of the restaurant industry, Kuhn most recently served as CEO for Chalak Mitra Group, responsible for company-owned and franchise restaurants of 79 domestic and international Genghis Grill locations. 

From 2007 to 2014, Kuhn served in roles of increasing responsibility at Ignite Restaurant Group, including president of Brick House Tavern + Tap and its senior vice president and chief operating officer. His background also includes working in leadership and operational roles with such restaurant chains as Joe’s Crab Shack, Sbarro and Bertucci’s.
