The American Royal Association announced its 2017 Barbecue Hall of Fame inductees. Honorees include Jeff Stehney, president and co-founder of Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que; Dave Anderson, founder of Famous Dave’s; and Melissa Cookston, owner of STEAK by Melissa and Memphis BBQ Company.
The recognition comes from each of the three individual’s contribution to the barbecue community and their demonstration of barbecue excellence. A formal induction ceremony will take place at the Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., over Labor Day weekend.
