Benihana Inc. named Thomas J. Baldwin CEO and president. Baldwin was already on the board of directors of Benihana and served as an advisor to the operator’s principal investor, Angelo, Gordon & Co.
Baldwin’s background includes three decades of experience in the restaurant industry, including a 20 years at Morton’s Restaurant Group.
He will oversee 110 Benihana restaurants, which include 76 Benihana restaurants (10 franchised locations), 7 Ra Sushi restaurants and 7 Haru Sushi restaurants.
