Keith Kinsey, president and chief executive officer for Noodles & Company has resigned his post effective July 1. At that time he will join Portillio’s, becoming only the second chief executive officer in the history of the Chicago-based casual dining chain.
Kinsey succeeds Dick Portillo who founded the company in 1963. Portillo will continue to be actively involved in the company, according to a release from the restaurant chain.
Upon Kinsey's resignation from Noodles & Company, his responsibilities will be reallocated among current members of management. Kinsey will also resign his position as a member of Noodles & Company’s board of directors.
Prior to his time at Noodles & Company, Kinsey served in an operations leadership role at Chipotle.
