PJP Buys Gelmarc

Foodservice equipment and supplies dealer acquires its third company in seven years.

Penn Jersey Paper has acquired Gelmarc Distributors, a distributor of foodservice equipment and supplies, disposables and janitorial supplies located in Cherry Hill, N.J.

As a result of the deal, Gelmarc becomes part of PJP and will go to market under the PJP brand name.

By taking over Gelmarc’s cash and carry store, PJP will now have three PJP Marketplace foodservice superstores.

This marks PJP’s third acquisition in seven years. Previously the company acquired MGM Paper and City Supply.

In 2013, PJP reported revenues of $35.5 million, making it the industry’s 39th largest foodservice equipment and supplies dealer, according to FE&S’ 2014 Distribution Giants Study.
