Yum! Updates U.S. Leadership for KFC and Pizza Hut

Gibbs and Marker get new roles with the multi-concept operator.

Yum! Brands appointed David Gibbs president of its Pizza Hut business in the U.S., and Jason Marker general manager of its KFC business in the U.S.

The moves coincide with the company's plan to reorganize its business, which includes combining its Yum! Restaurants International (YRI) and creating individual divisions in the U.S. for KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. Yum! Restaurants China and Yum! Restaurants India remain separate divisions.

Gibbs joined Yum! Brands in 1989 and rose through senior management ranks. He most recently served as president and CFO of YRI.

Marker joined the company from Unilever more than 10 years ago as a marketer in the South Pacific region, based in Australia. He most recently has served as chief marketing officer for KFC U.S. Marker replaces John Cywinski, who served as KFC U.S. president for the past three years and made the personal decision to resign from the company to pursue other opportunities, according to a Yum! release.
