The National Restaurant Association (NRA) will launch two new post-secondary certificates for cooking and baking, developed in partnership with Pearson Education.
These industry-recognized, knowledge-based certificates will confirm students' understanding and comprehension of key cooking and baking principles. The certificates are earned by culinary students who successfully pass two separate and distinct examinations.
The exams were developed by a team of subject matter experts from academia and within the industry to ensure that the tests focus on key concepts critical for success in the restaurant and foodservice industry, ensuring employers can feel confident that new hires possess the core knowledge required for success.
