Joe O'Brien was named national director of operations for Smith & Wollensky's nine restaurants.
O'Brien brings 30 years of restaurant experience to his new role, most recently as director of operations of the Charlie Palmer Group where he oversaw the organization's fine-dining operations. O'Brien has also served as regional executive chef for China Grill Management's Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
