Heritage Food Service Group to Acquire R.G. Henderson and Son

Independent OEM and replacement parts distributor accelerates its expansion into the Canadian foodservice market.

Heritage Food Service Group has reached an agreement to acquire R.G. Henderson Group, a Canadian food equipment repair and parts distribution firm. Terms of the deal were not disclosed but the entire R.G. Henderson and Son team, including president Rick Blum, are expected to make the transition to Heritage.

"This acquisition will position Heritage to accelerate its expansion into the Canadian market," said John T. McDonough, CEO of Heritage Food Service Group. "The clear opportunity is to build on the respective strengths of both businesses to create a new whole in Canada that is greater than the sum of its individual parts.
