Remembering Ray Ward

Served MAFSI and the industry in numerous ways over his 30-year career.

Longtime independent manufacturer's rep Ray Ward passed away on Dec. 5.

Ward spent 30 years as a manufacturers' rep in the Upstate New York MAFSI Region 2, serving as a principal of Quality Rep Source in Rochester, N.Y. He was very active for many years in MAFSI, serving on the association's board of directors as well as holding such executive positions as treasurer, vice-president and president (2004).

In 2008, the association presented Ward with the MAFSI Tony Award, which goes to an individual agent member who has consistently performed and demonstrated sincere interest, effort, leadership and given time to the welfare and progress of the organization and the enhancement of the manufacturers' agents' function and position in the industry.

Ward is survived by his wife Karen, three children and several grandchildren.

Condolences may be sent to Mrs. Karen Ward, 108 Carefree Lane, Morehead City, NC 28557.
