Remembering Thomas Redditt

Obituary notice for founder of Tom Redditt Sales Agency.

Longtime manufacturers' rep Thomas Redditt passed away on Sat., Oct. 20. He was 96 years old.

Upon his discharge from the Army in 1946, Redditt became a manufacturers rep, joining his father's firm. Shortly thereafter he left and began his own rep firm that eventually became Tom Redditt Sales Agency, which remains an active member of today's foodservice industry.

Redditt was extremely involved in industry organizations, at one time serving as president of MAFSI.

In 1991, Redditt and his wife Elinor created and funded the H.B. Fort Scholarship at his alma mater, Austin High School. He was compelled to start the fund because of his financial inability to attend college.
