Chain Operating Report for July 25

This weeks' report includes Baja Fresh, Del Taco add new locations; revenue up at Chipotle; and Dunkin' continues international expansion.

Baja Fresh Mexican Grill opened its third location in Frederick, Md.

For its second fiscal quarter ending June 30, 2012, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. revenue increased 20.9 percent to $690.9 million and comparable restaurant sales increased 8 percent compared to the same period last year.

Del Taco opened its third location in the Atlanta market.

Dunkin' Donuts inked a franchisee agreement with Sadi Sanlav and Mo Rahimi, who plan to open at least 15 new restaurants in Germany's Frankfurt, Rhine-Main area over the next five years.

Jamba, Inc. (Nasdaq: JMBA) signed on a series of franchisees that will help the chain expand into such new markets as Long Island, N.Y.; Wayne, N.J.; Pittsburgh; Milwaukee; and Toledo, Ohio. Jamba also plans for store expansion with existing franchisees in such current markets as California, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Connecticut. Jamba expects to develop 40 to 50 U.S. locations and 10 to 15 new stores internationally during 2012.

Saladworks announces same store sales for the second quarter up 4 percent over the same quarter last year and 9.3 percent growth for year to date.

Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop added grilled-to-order Panini sandwiches on multigrain or maple flatbread to its breakfast menu. The sandwiches come in up to 16 different varieties and include such staple breakfast ingredients as eggs, egg whites, bacon, hickory-smoked ham, sausage patty and melted cheese. More than half of the breakfast Panini sandwiches are less than 300 calories, according to a company release.
