This seems to be the year of the touch-screen ordering tablet for the foodservice industry.
Already popular in the bar and nightclub industry, digital menus are taking hold in restaurants. Starting off as a device to showcase a menu, more updated versions offer many other amenities aside from just ordering and paying for a meal. The tablets are also used by servers to bypass POS system ordering and keep better tabs on their tables, and restaurant owners can use them to manage their inventory, sales, even alarms.
