Keeping with the restolounge trend, the prolific Los Angeles-based Brosephs Restaurant Group opened Smoke, a high-end steakhouse and finer-dining operation in West Hollywood, Calif.
With an airy, social dining room drenched in sleek blacks and grays, bare granite tabletops and an attached bar and lounge, Smoke blends entertainment and nightlife with traditional restaurant dining. Black, lacey wallpaper offsets shiny, slate-colored velvet booths faced inward for easy people-watching. In the kitchen, wood-fired grills and other equipment add a smoky flavor to the wet- and dry-aged steaks and chops.
